Yihai Kerry (Jilin) Bio-cogeneration Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Wilmar International Ltd., operates a green-field rice husk based thermal energy generation system to produce steam. The project uses rice husks purchased from Yihai Kerry (Jilin) Oils, Grains and Foodstuffs Industries Co., Ltd, which is also the consumer of steam. This project does not allow for any other co-firing. The system includes two boilers with a capacity of 15 MT/hour each.
