Description
The wind farm project generates renewable electricity and is a part of the VCS Board approved CDM1GHG program. The plant consists of 9 Vestas (India) Pvt. Ltd. WTGs of NM82/1650 KW capacity each, producing a total of 14.85 MW of energy. The project is categorized as a ‘Grid connected Renewable Electricity Generation’ plant and falls under sectoral scope number-1: Energy Industries (renewable & non-renewable sources), using version 14 of AMS-1.D. Key Highlights: - The wind farm generates 14.85 MW of renewable energy, which is equivalent to powering approximately 7,000 households per year. - By using wind power, the project reduces greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 21,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. - The wind farm is located in the state of Gujarat, India, an area known for its strong wind resource potential. The project is important because it contributes to reducing carbon emissions and increasing the use of renewable energy sources.
