説明
Nestled on the Coruh River in the province of Erzurum in eastern Turkey, the Gullubag Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) generates 96 MW of energy. The plant was granted a generation license by the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority in 2007 and will continue to operate for the next 49 years. Key Highlights: - The Gullubag HEPP generates 96 MW of clean energy, equivalent to the energy consumption of 170,000 homes annually - The project reduces Turkey's reliance on fossil fuels and decreases greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 377,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year - The Gullubag HEPP provides employment opportunities for the local community and supports sustainable development in the region This project is important because it generates clean energy, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and supports sustainable development in the region. The Gullubag HEPP is a significant step towards Turkey's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and transitioning to a more sustainable energy system.
