Description
The Viñales sawmill site is looking to implement a new biomass cogeneration power plant in order to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their sustainability practices. This project will involve the installation of a 210 ton/hr fluidized bed biomass power boiler and a 41 MW condensing/extracting turbo generator unit. Key Highlights: - The new biomass cogeneration power plant will generate renewable energy through the use of biomass materials. - The 210 ton/hr fluidized bed biomass power boiler will turn wood chips and other biomass materials into steam, which will power the generator. - The 41 MW condensing/extracting turbo generator unit will convert the steam into electricity that will be used to power the sawmill site and potentially be sold to the local grid. By implementing this project, the Viñales sawmill site will be able to significantly reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and improve the air quality in the surrounding area. Additionally, the use of renewable energy will help to reduce their reliance on non-renewable sources such as coal and oil. This project serves as a great example of how businesses can take steps towards a more sustainable future.
