Key Highlights: - The current project at Aerocon is to manufacture 150,000 cubic meters of AAC blocks in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India. - The AAC blocks are made using fly ash from thermal plants mixed with lime, cement, gypsum, and aluminum powder, which allows for the blocks to acquire the necessary mechanical properties without being sintered. - This project is beneficial to the environment since fly ash is a byproduct of thermal plants that would otherwise be discarded. - AAC blocks are known to have excellent thermal insulation properties, which will reduce energy consumption in buildings. - The use of AAC blocks in construction has been known to reduce the overall carbon footprint of the building.
