Description

Yingpeng Chemical Co., Ltd.'s HFC23 Decomposition Project Yingpeng Chemical Co., Ltd. is proposing a project to collect and decompose the waste stream of HFC23 from their HCFC22 production process. The goal is to almost completely decompose HFC23 to carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen chloride (HCl), and hydrogen fluoride (HF) through the use of an incinerator. The process will involve high temperature and low pH value, and the resulting emissions will be further processed by cooling and de-acidification before being released into the atmosphere. Key Highlights: - The project aims to collect and decompose the waste stream of HFC23, a potent greenhouse gas with a global warming potential of 14,800 times greater than CO2. - The incinerator technology used in this project will ensure almost complete decomposition of HFC23, significantly reducing its impact on the environment. - The project will contribute to the reduction of emissions of ozone-depleting substances, as HFC23 is a byproduct of HCFC22 production, which is a known ozone-depleting substance. This project is important because it addresses the issue of HFC23 emissions, which are a significant contributor to global warming. By decomposing HFC23 almost completely, this project will help reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of Yingpeng Chemical Co., Ltd. and contribute to global efforts to combat climate change. Additionally, the project will help reduce emissions of ozone-depleting substances, further contributing to the protection of the ozone layer.
