Description
Situated in District Jaisalmer in the state of Rajasthan, the Wind energy based power generation project is a clean energy initiative that generates 4.67 MW of power using 7 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), including 3.75 MW (1250 kW X 3 machines) and 0.92 MW (230 kW X 4 machines). This project is promoted by M/s Rajesh Construction Company, M/s Savla Twisters Pvt. Ltd., M/s Vijay Industries Ltd. & M/s Saurabh Agrotech Pvt. Ltd. Key Highlights: - The generated electricity from renewable wind power is sold to the State Electricity Utility RVPNL (Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited) through a power purchase and wheeling & banking agreement. - The project replaces fossil fuels based electricity generation for the region, thereby contributing to reduced greenhouse gas emissions. - The rural areas of Jaisalmer benefit from the implementation of the project activity, contributing positively towards the ‘Sustainable Development’ in this region. By providing clean energy to the region, this project reduces greenhouse gas emissions and promotes sustainable development.
