Description
Beijing Guanting Wind Power Project: Clean Energy for China Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy Co., Ltd. has successfully completed the construction and operation of the Beijing Guanting Wind Power Project Phase II and Phase II addition (hereafter referred to as the Project). The project is a wind power plant located on the northwest side of Beijing, on the north bank of Guanting Reservoir, southeast side of Langshan wind valley in Huailai County, Hebei Province, P.R. of China. The Project was initiated on 23/12/2009 and has been registered as a CDM project on 28/02/2011 (UNFCCC registration reference number: 4413). Key Highlights: - The Project generates 128.7 MW of clean energy, which powers up to 120,000 homes annually. - The Project reduces greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 200,000 tonnes each year, contributing to China's target for reducing carbon emissions. - The wind turbines used in the project are state-of-the-art and highly efficient, ensuring maximum energy output. The Beijing Guanting Wind Power Project is an important milestone in China's effort to reduce their carbon footprint and transition to clean energy. The project is a vital step towards achieving China's goal of reducing carbon emissions by 60-65% per unit of GDP from 2005 levels by 2030. The Beijing Guanting Wind Power Project is a beacon of hope for a cleaner and greener future for China and the world.
