Energy Efficiency
Description
This carbon project focuses on promoting energy efficiency and solid waste diversion activities for various client facilities located in the Province of Quebec. The project is initiated by a Promoter, who aims to group together up to 10,000 Client Facilities into a Sustainable Community or a cluster. To track project activity data, a consolidated Information and Communication Technology-enabled data monitoring and collection system will be used. Key Highlights: - The project will support the delivery of single window reporting and measurement provided by a third party to capture the information required to quantify emissions reductions. - Although the activities of Client Facilities vary, the project's focus on energy consumption and waste management is similar across many businesses and organizations. - By grouping together up to 10,000 Client Facilities, the project aims to achieve a potential reduction of 22,852,000 tCO2e over the period of 2010-2020. This project is important because it promotes sustainable practices in various facilities in Quebec, creating a significant impact on the reduction of carbon emissions in the region. The use of a consolidated data monitoring system enables efficient tracking of project activity data, which is crucial in achieving the project's objectives. By grouping together client facilities, the project encourages collaboration and a shared commitment to reducing carbon emissions, creating a sustainable community and a better future for the environment.
